Starting in August 2020, I will be joining the Political Science Department at McGill University as Assistant Professor.
My work analyzes struggles over who gets to be politically represented, how and by whom, with a primary geographical focus on Latin America. I am especially interested in how such struggles shape constructions of gender, race, and class, as well notions of community.
I have written about the ways artistic production and cultural policy are used as tools for political representation, education, and mobilization for Signs: Journal of Women in Culture and Society and the Journal of Latin American Cultural Studies. I also write creative nonfiction and collaborate with artists on projects and publications.
